How It Came Together

The process

01
Discovery
1-hour meeting with your Marketing Lead, President, and Vice President to talk through the story you wanted told.
02
Concept
Came back with a concept, story arc, and talking points tailored to each person being interviewed.
03
Follow-Up
1-hour meeting to walk through the concept, story arc, and talking points before shooting began.
04
Interviews, Day 1
On-site interviews at the San Diego office. 6 people interviewed, 30 minutes to an hour each.
05
Interviews, Day 2
On-site interviews at the Orange County office. 6 people interviewed, 30 minutes to an hour each.
06
Jobsite B-Roll
1 day capturing B-roll on the jobsite, supplemented with archived footage where it fit the story.
07
Edit
Interviews, B-roll, and archival footage cut into the two films above.

Each interview day (Days 1–2) ran with a 3-person crew and a full camera, lighting, and audio package. B-roll was a solo camera op with mobile lighting.
